BACKYARD COMPOSTING... Join UC Master Gardener Terri Andre and the City of Palo Alto Saturday, Sept. 7, 10-11 a.m. for a workshop on backyard composting. Learn how to transform food scraps and yard waste into compost and get tips on how to harvest and use your compost. Palo Alto residents can receive a free compost or worm bin by attending this workshop, available while supplies last, one bin per family. The workshop takes place at the Master Gardeners' Palo Alto Demonstration Garden, Eleanor Pardee Park, 851 Center Drive, Palo Alto.
