Class Guide

Winter is upon us. But staying indoors doesn't have to mean doing less. The less-than-ideal weather makes it a good season to start a new physical activity or hone an artistic bent. All the classes listed below are local.

The Class Guide is published quarterly by The Almanac, the Palo Alto Weekly and the Mountain View Voice.

Royal Scottish Country Dance Society

Yoga at All Saints' Episcopal Church

Kundalini-style yoga, combining asana (physical poses), breathing exercises and meditation. Practice is best done on an empty stomach. GASPA German

GASPA offers Saturday classes for children and adults between 9 a.m. and noon. Its focus is on both learning the German language and becoming acquainted with German culture and traditions.

German Language Class

Students learn to speak, read and write German, with an emphasis on conversation. Basic grammar and Germanic culture are also covered. The instructor, a college-credentialed teacher, lived and studied in Germany through Stanford, where she later received a master's degree.

International School of the Peninsula (ISTP)
