Will Edgewood Plaza lose its 'Eichlerness'?

Neighbors hope for new retail that retains center's character

There is no word on how tall it will be or how many stores the redeveloped Edgewood Shopping Center will hold, but one thing appears certain: The existing row of one-story shops developed by Joseph Eichler, which residents call a neighborhood "centerpiece," is not likely to remain standing.
