Natalie Sekuler, a former Mountain View resident, passed away September 24, 2017 at The Lodge hospice in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was 93 years old, and had been stricken with cancer. Natalie is survived by her son, Larry Sekuler, of Mountain View, and her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Randy Kelley of Salt Lake City. She was predeceased by her sister, Leona Light, and her parents, Joseph and Dora Finkelstein. Natalie was born in Newark, New Jersey on August 4, 1924, and grew up in the New York City borough of The Bronx. She graduated from Hunter College in 1946, and married CPA Frederick Sekuler in 1948. After their divorce in 1958, Natalie moved with her children to St. Louis, Missouri, where she ran Washington University's Political Science Department from 1960 to 1988. Later moving to the Bay Area, Natalie resided in Mountain View from 1992 to 2005, before relocating to Santa Rosa and then Salt Lake City. She loved cats and gardening, and was a member of the Order of Rosicrucians. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
