There were rumblings aplenty this year of a return to a quieter market, but a glance at some of the bigger Midpeninsula real estate listings and deals of 2019 suggests that not everyone got that memo.
In particular, Atherton continues to top lists of the nation’s most expensive ZIP codes, kept aloft by multiple home sales in the tens of millions of dollars — including nine sales over $20 million in 2019, according to Zillow — and even pricier transactions involving big names.
But not everything that grabbed headlines parlayed the attention into a sale … yet … so perhaps even here, some price tags are high enough to give pause — or more likely, the right buyer just hasn’t come along. View our interactive map to see some of 2019’s most notable real estate news.
Why in the world is Steph Curry even mentioned in the same context with Trump’s luncheon at former Sun Microsystem’s CEO, Scott G. McNealy?
Yes, Steph purchased a mansion for $31 million in Atherton. McNealy’s is in Portola Valley.
