Take a trip back to the golden age of cinema at the Museum of American Heritage in Palo Alto on Saturday, Oct. 1, where you can explore and tinker with a variety of motion picture artifacts dating from the late 1800s to 1980s.
The museum’s new Evolution of Film exhibition features the rare Visionola, a Kerosene movie projector and a Scopitone, as well as film news and movie reels of silent films and talkies that show the ever-changing landscape of film. The reels can be played in the gallery.
Toy models of the zoopraxiscope, zoetrope and praxinoscope will also be available to play with.
