The Menlo Park Police Department’s Narcotic Enforcement Team, the San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force and the FBI arrested a 41-year-old man on Monday morning after serving a search warrant at his residence in the 2300 block of Clarke Avenue in East Palo Alto.

Detectives and agents found “large amounts of cocaine base packaged for sales, large amounts of prescription medications for sale, a loaded stolen firearm, ammunition and cash,” according to the police report.

Lamar Johnson was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for allegedly possessing controlled substances for sale, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possessing both controlled substances and a firearm and possessing stolen property.

The search warrant resulted from a month-long investigation of alleged on-going sales of cocaine base by Johnson, police said.
