Erica McCall scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Karlie Samuelson added 14 points and No. 12 Stanford got by host USC, 57-47, in a Pac-12 Conference women’s basketball contest Friday night.

The Cardinal (15-4, 5-2 Pac-12) travels to play No. 20 UCLA (13-5, 5-2) on Sunday at 6 p.m. The game will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks. The Bruins beat Cal, 75-56, on Friday.

Lili Thompson added 11 points for Stanford, which won its fourth in five games. The Cardinal played without Briana Roberson.

Samuelson scored eight of her points in the third quarter, including hitting a pair of 3-pointers. She was 4-of-6 from long range.

The Cardinal opened a double-digit advantage early in the fourth quarter and eventually held a 16-point lead before the Trojans scored the game’s final six points.

Stanford committed 12 turnovers in the first half, including five in the first five minutes of the second quarter, allowing USC to draw within 24-23 at one point.

The Cardinal, which also missed three layups in a span of 1:46 during the period, held a 28-24 edge into the intermission.

Stanford held onto the ball better in the second half, turning it over twice in the third quarter as Samuelson and McCall steadied things offensively for the team.

USC took a 5-1 lead less than a minute into the game. Samuelson hit a 3-pointer and Thompson hit consecutive jumpers to spark an 11-0 run. Stanford never trailed again, though the Trojans made things interesting.

Despite playing in foul trouble, Kaylee Johnson still managed to lead the Cardinal with a season-best 13 rebounds. She added five points. Stanford held a 44-32 margin in rebounding.

The Trojans held the edge in points off turnovers at 19-9 and second-chance points at 14-4. USC failed to take advantage of its 17 free throw attempts, hitting just six. Stanford was 6-of-9 from the foul line.

Stanford beat the Trojans for the ninth straight time in Los Angeles and has taken 17 of the past 18 meetings.

McCall recorded her third double-double in four games and netted her 11th of the season.
