UPDATE: High wind advisories are in effect Monday morning, Dec. 14, for the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge, Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, Dumbarton Bridge and Bay Bridge, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials issued the advisories overnight, with the most recent being issued shortly before 1:30 a.m.
The advisory was still in effect as of 5 a.m.
The National Weather Service forecasted that winds could reach up to 30 miles per hour in the San Francisco area on Sunday night.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the San Francisco Bay Area in effect through Sunday night.
Strong and gusty southwesterly winds are expected to develop this morning ahead of a cold front, according to the National Weather Service.
Winds will switch to northwesterly in the afternoon.
Winds are expected to be the strongest near the coast and in the hills.
Sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected throughout the day, and wind gusts could reach 40 to 50 mph.
Drought-stressed trees may topple, and falling trees and tree limbs may take down power lines and lead to power outages.
Driving, especially vehicles that have a high profile, could be more difficult in high winds.
A wind advisory is issued when wind gusts of at least 45 mph are expected.
