Heisman Trophy candidate Christian McCaffrey earned Pac-12 Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week honors, it was announced Monday.

McCaffrey returned three kickoffs for 148 yards, including a 98-yarder for a touchdown against Cal on Saturday to spark Stanford to a 35-22 victory in the 118th Big Game and clinch its third North Division title in four years.

McCaffrey, who ranks third nationally in kickoff returns with a 31.3 average, extended his school record by rushing for more than 100 yards for the ninth consecutive game (192) and established a Stanford record for all-purpose yards with 389.

McCaffrey leads the country in all-purpose yards (2,807) and ranks second in rushing (1,546).

Stanford (9-2), ranked 13th in the latest AP poll, concludes its regular season schedule by playing host to fourth-ranked Notre Dame (10-1) at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Stanford Stadium.
