Starting to think about the holidays? This weekend, you can shop for products made by local artisans at the 36 annual Harvest Craft Faire in Los Altos. The sales booths are open on Friday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free event takes place at the United Methodist Church, 655 Magdalena Ave., Los Altos. All 55-plus vendors will sell handmade goods and food or antiques. Shoppers will find holiday decor, pottery, handcrafted jewelry, purses, gourmet jams, soaps, wooden boxes, scarves and more. The Harvest Cafe will also be serving up light lunch and drinks, and a bake sale will offer other sweet treats. Proceeds from the event benefit United Methodist Women charities, such as Community Services, Jeremiah’s Promise, Pathways and Support Network for Battered Women.
