Recent Stanford graduate Stefan Nastic has agreed to join the Golden State Warriors for NBA Summer League competition in Las Vegas.
Prior to joining the Warriors, Nastic will join the San Antonio Spurs from July 3-9 in the Utah Jazz Summer League.
Nastic joins fellow senior Chasson Randle, who also has agreed to join the Golden State Warriors for NBA Summer League action.
As a senior, Nastic developed into one of best centers in the country and emerged as a focal point of the Cardinal offense. Nastic averaged 13.4 points and 6.5 rebounds while reaching double figures in all but six games. Also totaling five double-doubles, Nastic set the tone with a career-high 26-point effort in the season opener against Wofford.
In addition to leading the Cardinal in blocks (38), Nastic was a dependable free throw shooter (75.4 percent). Over his final 10 games of the season, Nastic connected on 49-60 (81.7 percent) from the foul line. Nastic was also selected to the NIT All-Tournament Team.
Swimming
For their performances in the classroom as well as the pool, eight members of the Stanford women’s swimming and diving team were among those achieving Scholar All-American honors, as selected by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
Senior management science and engineering major Katie Olsen, junior psychology major Julia Anderson and freshmen Lindsey Engel and Simone Manuel were named to the first team. Honorable mention honorees included Alex Clay, Haley Sims, Jaynie Pulte and Sloane Brazina.
To be selected to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, swimmers and/or divers must have achieved a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving national championships.
