Stanford was well-represented at football’s biggest event and came away with two Super Bowl champions Sunday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Doug Baldwin and Richard Sherman led the Seattle Seahawks to their first title with a 43-8 rout of the Denver Broncos.

Baldwin and Sherman join a group of 37 former Stanford players who have combined for 60 Super Bowl appearances.

Denver’s roster included Sione Fua and John Elway is the team’s Executive Vice President of Football Operations.

Many others were also on hand at MetLife Stadium working Super Bowl XLVIII in other capacities.

Baldwin caught five passes for a team-leading 66 yards and a 10-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter to cap the rout.

Sherman had three tackles and defended one pass from his cornerback position. He left the game with a right-ankle injury.
