Senior Felicia Lee contributed to four wins and the Stanford women’s swimming team left visiting Wisconsin in its wake, 201-85, in a nonconference dual meet on Saturday.

The Cardinal (4-0) are off until the Art Adamson Invitational in College Station, TX beginning Thursday, Nov. 21.

Lee was instrumental in Stanford’s ability to sweep all 16 swimming and diving events on the day. She swam in both relays and won both the 100 back and 100 fly.

“I was pleased with the way we swam,” Stanford coach Greg Meehan said. “But I think we looked better in our training session on Thursday, which is a pretty good indicator that we’re putting in some good work. I liked our attention to detail and the fact that we managed the event schedule well.”

The Stanford men also beat the Badgers, 176-116, as part of a combined dual meet as David Nolan swam to wins in the 200 free (1:37.60) and the 200 back (1:46.23).

The Cardinal (2-0) is scheduled to compete in the triple-distance meet at California on Thursday.

“It was a real positive day on a lot of levels for a lot of reasons,” Cardinal coach Ted Knapp said. “It was great to be able to swim on this nice, sunny day in November. I really appreciate a great program like Wisconsin coming out here two years in a row. We’re fortunate that we are able to host events like this, especially in the fall, when we can race as much as we can before our conference meets.”

In addition to Lee, Sarah Haase, Lia Neal and Maya DiRado were also double winners for Stanford.

“It was great opportunity to race here at home one last time this fall,” Meehan said. “We’re going to push hard for one more week, and then incorporate more focus on our speed for the two weeks after.”

Neal won the 200 free in 1:50.08 and the 100 free in 50.01. DiRado swam to wins in the 200 fly (1:59.37) and 500 free (4:50.47) and Haase finished first in the 200 breast (2:15.34) and 100 breast (1:02.27). Katie Olsen (1:02.52) followed Haase in the 100 breast for the 1-2 Cardinal finish.

Other Cardinal winners included Andie Taylor, who went 9:56.18 to win the 1,000 free, Kassidy Cook (295.95) in 1-meter diving and Stephanie Phipps (326.40) in 3-meter diving.

Joining Nolan in the winner’s circle for the men, Sacred Heart Prep grad Tom Kremer swam 45.03 in taking the 100 free, Mason Shaw won the 100 breast (56.67) and Max Williamson bettered all swimmers with his 1:49.34 in the 200 fly.

Kristian Ipsen (398.25) won the 1-meter and Bradley Christensen (384.83) dove to a win in the 3-meter.

“We’ve got three weeks before the UNLV meet (N ov. 21-23), which will be another version of a training meet,” Knapp said “We’re going to see if we can swim faster at UNLV compared to how we did at the same point last fall. Our goal is to train better and swim faster.”
