President Obama has left the Bay Area after appearing at a town hall meeting in Mountain View this morning hosted by LinkedIn.

Obama departed from Moffett Field aboard Air Force One at 12:23 p.m. and is now headed to Southern California for fundraising appearances later today. The president will be speaking at three campaign events — one in San Diego and two in Los Angeles.

Today’s town hall meeting, “Putting America Back to Work: LinkedIn Presents a Town Hall with President Obama,” was held at the Computer History Museum. It began late this morning and wrapped up a few minutes before noon.

The president’s motorcade then whisked him to Moffett Field, arriving at 12:12 p.m. Before boarding the plane, Obama stopped to greet the family of a retiring Air Force One crewmember and pose for a photo. He shook the hands of the crewmember, his wife and three children.

Afterward, the wife, who declined to give her full name but said her husband is based out of Fresno, said she was nervous to meet the president.

“He’s a very nice man,” she said. “Very proud of him as our president, and I told him that.”

Obama flew into Moffett Field on Air Force One Sunday evening and attended two fundraisers later that night at the Woodside home of John Thompson, chairman of Symantec, and the Atherton home of Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook.
