President Barack Obama will visit Facebook headquarters in Palo Alto April 20, where he will host a “town hall” meeting that will be streamed live on the Internet.
Americans are invited to post questions for the president on the wall of the White House Facebook page or through the White House.
Facebook executives will select questions for Obama to answer during the event, the White House said.
“President Obama will connect with Americans across the country to discuss the tough choices we must all make in order to put our economy on a more responsible fiscal path, while still investing in areas like innovation that will help our economy grow and make America more competitive,” the White House said in announcing the event.
To watch, tune in to the White House Facebook page April 20 at 1:45 p.m., the announcement said.
Obama will appear with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg, according to the announcement.

PA PD should be able to solve the city deficit by writing parking tickets for all those cars that don’t have parking permits under the system that was implemented last year.

Candidate Obama regaled “Joe The Plumber” with tales of “wealth redistribution”. Maybe now-President Obama can regale the future multi-millionaires at Facebook how he plans to redistribute the wealth that these young people are trying to build for themselves and their future families–telling them in no uncertain terms how “the poor deserve the results of your work more than you do!”

Presidents are, indeed, politicians. Is this news? It is part of their job to get (re)elected and to get others elected. And local governments get stuck with security costs. It is a bit silly to suggest this an issue with any particular president.
I am sure Obama’s cars/SUVs will be full of people, unlike the mostly empty facebook buses that roar up & down Ca Ave all day long.
I think Facebook, or Obama, or sometoby should have some gathering that College Terrace people could go to. I called Facebook, and guess what, they have no people to answer phones because, as their answering systems says, “We’re an internet company” so contact us via the internet. I appreciate any tax dollars coming into Palo Alto from them, but other than that, get the heck out, eh? BUT, I actually believed him in his inauguration speech when he said that his Admin would “look at the numbers and change course if it isn’t working”. All I have seen is a doubling down on the worst possible laws, policies, regulations and ideology for our economy and our security, and an erratic, unprincipled POTUS where we never know what he is going to do or say next; with the least transparent govt, most likely to override State and individual rights, and most likely to scare away our businesses and friends, while making us the laughingstock of our enemies.
