An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.0 struck east of San Jose late Sunday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The 3.6-mile deep quake was reported by the USGS just before 11:15 p.m. in an area east-southeast of San Jose City Hall and just 10 miles north of Morgan Hill.
The tremor is the second to shake the San Jose area this month, following an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 that struck on Jan. 7.
The geo/thermal plants cause earthquakes. All you have to do is “google” cero Pierto geo/thermal plant sinking 4 inches per year and causing earthquakes. Engineering reports have been filed.
What do we do? We build 10 more geo/thermal along the shor of the Sulton Sea.
They push brine 12,000 feet down wells into 2,200 degree fharenheidt magma and it explodes sending steam 12,000 feet up to generators that spin and generate electricity. That electricity is sold to California.
This is a disaster waiting to happen.
