Stanford women’s volleyball associate head coach Denise Corlett has been named the Division I National Assistant Coach of the Year, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Friday.

Corlett, now in her 22nd season with the Cardinal and her 15th as the associate head coach, helped Stanford to another impressive campaign. The Cardinal reached the NCAA quarterfinals, where it lost a tough 3-2 decision to Pac-10 rival USC.

Stanford, with Corlett’s assistance, rattled off a 27-4 record this season and earned a share of the Pac-10 title with a 15-3 league record, the fifth straight for the program.

In Corlett’s tenure on The Farm, the Cardinal has compiled a 619-103 (.857) record and has captured 13 league titles and six national championships. She has also helped guide 21 players to 55 AVCA All-America awards and seven players have earned national player of the year honors during her time on The Farm.
