Gunn wins SCVAL soccer battle against Palo Alto

Junior Elina Saab-Sundén scored two goals and assisted on three others in helping the Gunn girls’ soccer team take down visiting Palo Alto, 5-0, in a Santa Clara Valley Athletic League De Anza Division match Tuesday night.

Sophomore Emma Listgarten scored twice and senior Morgan Cianfichi once as the Titans (2-3-2) more than doubled their offensive total on the season.

Junior goalkeeper Julia Dellenbach recorded seven saves for her third shutout of the season.

Gunn travels to play at Mountain View (5-1-1) on Wednesday afternoon. Palo Alto (1-2-2) hosts Santa Clara (1-2-2) on Thursday afternoon.

The Gunn boys’ soccer team avenged the lone flaw on its record with a 1-0 victory over host Palo Alto on Tuesday in a SCVAL De Anza Division match.
