The unseeded Silverman may have been the biggest surprise. She needed to beat a pair of top seven seeded wrestlers just for the chance to medal. Silverman accomplished that, downing the No. 6 seed 4-3 and pinning the seventh seed in 1:59. She then lost twice, including to the No. 2 seed in the fifth-place match. Silverman was 5-3 at the meet.

Schwarzbach lost his final match to the No. 3 seed at 145 and was 3-2 over the weekend.
