A 17-year-old boy was cited for giving a woman an unwanted kiss on the Stanford University campus late Thursday night, according to the university’s Public Safety Department said Friday.

The woman was in the area of Campus Drive and Galvez Street around 11:45 p.m. Thursday when she was approached by a male who ran up to her, picked her up and kissed her on the forehead, according to the alert issued early Friday.

He then asked her if she wanted to accompany him to his car and when she refused, he left and was last seen on foot heading toward the Track House Lot, the alert said.

On Sunday afternoon, the department announced a 17-year-old boy was cited for assault and battery in connection with the unwanted kiss and released.

Anyone with information on Thursday night’s battery is asked to call the Department of Public Safety at 650-329-2413.

  1. Could this possibly be a case of mistaken identity?

I’m not sure and I wasn’t there of course, but something tells me that the phrase “picked her up” could have been that he thought he knew her mistaking her for a friend. He went off when she declined his offer to go to the car shows me that this may not have been anything sinister.

    Are we getting too paranoid?

  2. No we are not getting too paranoid. This is an assault that needs to be seriously investigated by the police.

Just because Trump brags about doing things like this does not mean it is not a serious crime.

I agree, not to mention Bill Clinton’s escapades in the White House that apparently went well beyond bragging.
