Erik Miller struck out 11 in six shutout innings, Sacred Heart Prep product Andrew Daschbach hit his third home run in two days and Stanford completed a three-game Pac-12 Conference sweep of Oregon, beating the Ducks 10-0 Saturday in Eugene.

Brandon Wulff was on base four times, scored three times and hit his fourth home run of the series for the Cardinal (27-6, 13-2), which returns home to play Gonzaga at 6 p.m. Monday.

“Wulff and Daschbach really carries us this week,” Stanford coach David Esquer said. “When you want to win on the road you need guys to step up like that.”

Daschbach ended the series with an overall batting average of .308. He’s hit safely in 13 of the 15 conference games and has hit six of his seven home runs in Pac-12 play and driven in 15 of his 22 RBIs. He’s also scored 19 runs and collected 26 hits for a conference average of .441 (26 for 59).

Miller, who gave up four hits while setting a career-high in strikeouts, recorded five consecutive strikeouts to start the game. Zach Grech and Austin Weiermiller combined to pitch the final three innings to finish a seven-hitter.

“This was a fantastic performance from Miller,” Esquer said. “He can be dominant when he’s on and you saw what that looked like today.”

Stanford scored half its runs in the first inning. Will Matthiessen singled in a run and Tim Tawa’s sacrifice fly made it 2-0. With the bases loaded and two out, Nick Brueser’s line-drive single made it 3-0 before Brandon Dieter’s single brought in Daschbach and Brueser.

Wulff finished the series 7 for 10 with four home runs, eight RBIs, nine runs and four walks. Daschbach finished the series 6 for 11 with three home runs, five RBIs, seven runs and two walks.
