PASA delivers top places at USA Futures swimming meet

Gunn senior Sarah Snyder opened Sunday's USA Swimming Futures Championship finals with a nice victory in the 100-meter freestyle. She ended the day swimming the anchor leg of Palo Alto Stanford's 400 medley relay team that finished in a first-place tie.

It seemed fitting that Gunn grad Jenna Campbell, who finished fourth in the 100 free, swam the breast leg of the relay, setting up Snyder's freestyle. Stanford grad and Olympian Dana Kirk coaches both swimmers and Campbell is Snyder's "big sister."

There are some who consider Campbell and Snyder to be twins, just born four years apart.

It was another successful day for PASA, giving an indication of, perhaps, successes yet to come.

While Campbell and Snyder were among the meet's top scorers, many others contributed to the noteworthy effort put forth by PASA. The 100 free, like Saturday's 50 free, felt like a PASA showcase.

Article just had the stroke wrong. Jenna swam the fly leg of the relay which makes more sense.
