Six teams of local real estate agents and 17 individual local salespersons were among the top-selling 250 teams and 250 agents nationwide this past year, according to Real Trends, a private communications company that published its annual "The Thousand" list on Friday.

The top-ranking local individual was David Troyer of Intero Real Estate Services in Los Altos, who ranked sixth nationally with $424,481,815 worth of real estate sold in 2017. He was nearly $180 million ahead of the next local individual.
