In February, local artist Steve Curl was selected to be Zion National Park’s artist-in-residence for a month, during which he was able to hike, paint the natural environment and interact with the public.

The watercolor paintings he produced from that residency, as well as some from his workshop teaching in Yosemite National Park, are now on display in the corridor gallery at the Pacific Art League at 668 Ramona St., Palo Alto through the end of the month.

“It was a fantastic experience in a stunning landscape which I thoroughly explored,” Curl said of his adventures at Zion.

Pacific Art League is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
