Stanford rowing splits pair of races with Boston

Stanford split a pair of races early Saturday morning in a dual with Boston University on Charles River in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The Cardinal's top-ranked varsity eight fell in a tight contest to the second-ranked boat from Boston. Stanford, coxed by Shea Cours, registered a 7:23.642 on the course, finishing just behind the Terriers, who recorded a 7:22.032.

Stanford bounced back minutes later with a convincing win by the second varsity eight boat. The Cardinal, coxed by Allison Tielking, raced down the course to a time of 7:49.946. The boat defeated Boston by multiple lengths, as the Terriers recorded a time of 8:25.681.

Up next, the Cardinal will return home to the Bay Area to prepare for a third consecutive dual. Stanford will face Western Washington on Saturday, April 21 at Redwood Shores.
