A 15-year-old boy walking at Palo Alto's Bol Park was attacked on Easter Sunday by four males who beat him on the ground and yanked a $750 pair of shoes from his feet, Palo Alto police said.
The April 1 incident occurred at about 7:30 p.m. as the teen was walking through the park on Laguna Avenue near Laguna Court, Sgt. Eric Bulatao said. The teen was jumped by one male and was physically assaulted as the attacker jumped on top of him. While on the ground, all four allegedly punched the teen, beating him before pulling the expensive Balenciaga shoes from his feet. The attackers then jumped into a gold-colored sedan and drove away, Bulatao said.
The teen, who resides outside of Palo Alto, called police to report the crime after returning home. He complained of back and neck pain, swellings and abrasions.
All four assailants are described as black males. One attacker is about 5 feet 5 inches tall and around 140 pounds with a muscular build and brown eyes. He wore a black tank top, black jeans and a black ski mask.
A second attacker is roughly 6 feet 6 inches tall, about 230 pounds, had a muscular build and wore a gold Cuban-link chain necklace, a white Chicago Bulls jersey, black shorts and a ski mask. There are no descriptions for the other two males, Bulatao said.
