While Stanford grad Zach Ertz will be playing in the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles, the defending New England Patriots have no fewer than three Stanford grads on the roster.

Cornerback Johnson Bademosi, offensive lineman Cameron Fleming and defensive back Jordan Richards are all on the New England active roster.

Fleming started three games during the regular season and appeared in 14, playing left tackle, right tackle and tight end.

Richards appeared in all 16 games, starting five. He recorded 26 tackles, 23 solo.

Bademosi also appeared in all 16 games, with three starts. He had 29 tackles, 24 solo. He has one career interception, in 2016 while with the Detroit Lions.

Ertz has 74 receptions on the season with eight touchdowns. He had 93 receiving yards in the NFC Championship game victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

Stanford grad Aziz Shittu is on the Eagles reverse-injured list.

Women’s soccer

Sacred Heart Prep grad Tierna Davidson made her debut with the U.S. national team in its 5-1 victory over Denmark. She assisted on Julie Ertz’s goal that put the Americans ahead to stay.

Fellow SHP grad Abby Dahlkemper also played along with Stanford grads Kelley O’Hara and Christen Press. Jane Campbell served as back-up goalie.

Track and field

Menlo School grad Maddy Price set a personal best and a Duke record in the 200 meter, racing 24.15 at the Clemson Invitational. The time qualified her for the ACC Indoor Championships.
