Singer-songwriter-pianist Leila Milki, who grew up in Palo Alto and released her debut album this spring, will return to the Peninsula for a performance at Angelica’s Bistro (863 Main St., Redwood City) on Thursday, July 20 at 7:30 p.m.
Milki, who identifies as Lebanese-American, combines pop sensibilities and soulful vocals with her classical piano training and multicultural background. Her album, "Promises," features songs in both Arabic and English (she also sings in French and Spanish).
"I am so excited to come home and share my music with the most loving, loyal, and supportive community I could ask for," the 2011 Castilleja grad, who’s now based in Southern California, said. "The Bay Area is near and dear to my heart, and there are few feelings more special than reconnecting with those who have encouraged me from the very start."
Tickets are $15-$31 and can be purchased at Angelica's. For more information and music samples, go to LeilaMilki.com.
