Priory girls clinch WBAL Skyline Division soccer title


The Priory girls soccer team clinched the WBAL Skyline Division title, beating visiting Castilleja, 4-0, on Monday.

The Panthers (15-2, 11-1) host the fourth-place team from the Foothill Division on Friday at 3:30 p.m. for a chance to earn an automatic berth into the Central Coast Section playoffs that starts Tuesday, Feb. 21.

The King's Academy beat host Crystal Springs Uplands, 2-1, on Monday and is currently in fourth place in the Foothill Division with a game to play.

Notre Dame-Belmont is the only other team that can finish fourth and the Tigers travel to play at TKA on Wednesday. The Knights have to win to move into third, anything less and TKA makes the trip to Priory.

The Panthers have outscored their opponents by a 70-8 margin during league play.

Castilleja (4-8, 6-12) finishes fifth in the Skyline Division.

Boys' soccer

Carlmont beat host Westmoor, 3-1, in PAL Bay Division action Monday to move into first place by a half-game over Woodside.

The Wildcats (10-6-2, 8-3-1) host the Scots (12-4-1, 9-3) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. in what could determine the league title.

Menlo-Atherton (5-6-4, 5-5-1) hosts Aragon (10-6-1, 7-3-1) at 4 p.m. Wednesday in another match that will help decide which team ends up winning the championship.
