Stanford men to host an exhibition volleyball match

 

The Stanford men's volleyball team will host an exhibition match on Friday against SportConX. The action will begin at 7 p.m. in Burnham Pavilion. Admission is free.

SportConX features several former collegiate men's volleyball players, including Cardinal alums Evan Barry (2009-12), Dylan Kordic (2009-10) and Denny Falls (2011-14).

Barry, a second team AVCA All-American during his time on The Farm, and Kordic were both members of the 2010 Stanford national championship team, while Falls was a member of the 2014 squad which finished as the national runner-up.

Stanford, which tied for second in the MPSF in 2016 and held a No. 6 final national ranking, returns four starters from last year's squad, including first team All-American Evan Enriques at libero.

Also back from the starting lineup are middle blocker Kevin Rakestraw, an All-MPSF honorable mention pick in 2016, redshirt senior opposite Gabriel Vega and sophomore outside hitter Jordan Ewert.
