Enjoy a family-style feast of vino and porchetta

 

Nosh on porchetta and a selection of sides and desserts during Mayfield Bakery and Cafe's "porchetta and pinot" dinner on Thursday, Sept. 29.

The family-style feast will be held in the restaurant's outdoor patio with a menu featuring canapé, wood-grilled porchetta, slowly cooked greens that have been braised in olive oil, garlic and chili, baked tomatoes with faro and herbs and sweet-and-sour peppers with capers and olives. For dessert: zeppole (deep-fried dough ball) with Nutella and crème anglaise.

Pair the food with three different pinot noirs.

Cost is $75. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. at the restaurant, located at 855 El Camino Real in Palo Alto.
