Celebrate the spirit of swing

Swing your way down to Bing Concert Hall at Stanford University on Friday, Sept. 30, to watch bandleader and trumpeter Wynton Marsalis and his Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra celebrate the spirit of swing.

The legendary 15-member ensemble is rooted in the blues and hopes to celebrate personal freedom and draw on hope from adversity, according to Stanford Live.

Cost is $30-$80. A pre-concert talk with Jazz Museum in Harlem's Loren Schoenberg and Victor Goines from the band starts at 6:30 p.m. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. Bing Concert Hall is located at 327 Lasuen St.
