SHP grad Swart collects a hat trick for Princeton water polo

 

Sacred Heart Prep grad Michael Swart scored three goals and the No. 11 Princeton men's water polo team downed Whittier, 15-9, on Saturday at the Mountain Pacific Invitational at Northgate High.

The Tigers (7-4) meet Air Force on Sunday in the final game of the tournament.

The Princeton women's volleyball team, with Menlo School grad Maddie Huber recording eight digs and a service ace, opened Ivy League play with a five-set victory over host Penn on Saturday.

Princeton hosts Harvard on Friday.

Menlo School grad Jack Heneghan completed 18-of-29 passes for 240 yards and a touchdown and visiting Dartmouth beat Holy Cross, 35-10, Saturday in a nonconference tilt.

Dartmouth (2-0) returns home next week to host Penn (0-2) in the Ivy League opener for both teams.

The Big Green repeated its 2-0 start from last year, the first time Dartmouth has done so in back to back seasons since 1996-97.
