Take an electric car on a joyride

As part of National Drive Electric Week, Palo Alto environmental nonprofit Acterra is hosting a free test-drive event on Sunday, Sept. 18.

Ride in or drive an electric vehicle, talk to EV owners and dealer representatives and get a free Raw Daddy Fun Cone courtesy of PG&E.

Also, learn about state and federal EV incentives, as well as the City of Palo Alto's new solar/EV program, get tips on free local charging stations and purchase lunch or tasty treats from specialty food trucks.

The event will be held at 3921 East Bayshore Road in Palo Alto, 1-4 p.m.

Pre-registration is not mandatory but encouraged.
