Ready to race

Explore the Palo Alto Baylands under the near-full harvest moon with runners -- and walkers -- during the Weekly's Moonlight Run & Walk on Friday, Sept. 16.

Meet at the Baylands Athletic Center, 1900 Geng Road. Race-night registration tables open at 6 p.m. The 5K walk starts at 7 p.m.; the 10K run starts at 8:15 p.m.; and the 5K run starts at 8:45 p.m.

Warm up with Zumba and live music from School of Rock. Enjoy post-race snacks provided by Country Sun Natural Foods, Hobee's and House of Bagels and free swag from sponsors. There will also be a rock-climbing wall and field activities.

New this year: a 5K course, a route filled with wildlife and landmarks.
