A little art, a little wine, a lot of fun

The 45th annual Mountain View Art & Wine Festival returns to Castro Street this weekend with a plethora of artwork and handcrafted wares, as well as live music, craft cocktails and beers, artisan specialty food purveyors and more.

The free downtown event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 10-11, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Young performers will take the stage during "Mountain View's Got Talent" showcase. While the "Comcast Pigskin Party Lounge" will feature football and baseball games on a big-screen TV.

There will also be a Kid's Park featuring a rock-climbing wall, "waterballerz" (giant inflatable balls), temporary body art and face painting.

The music lineup includes the new Saturday Sunset Concert (5-7 p.m.) featuring the Bay's best classic rock 'n' roll band The Houserockers, the return of smash-hit Salsa Sunday with Orquesta Borinquen and Ruckatan plus a bill with Pacific Soul, The Hitmen, Blue House, The Blackouts, Emerson & The Growiser Band, Bob Culbertson, HeartStrings Music, John Clarke, Man in White and Ancient Winds.
