Heavy traffic expected for season-opening football game

Police department issues traffic advisory for Friday's game between Stanford and Kansas State

Stanford University's football opener will bring heavy traffic to Palo Alto on Friday, Sept. 2, according to a traffic advisory from the Palo Alto Police Department.

The game against Kansas State University will kick off at 6 p.m. According to the police department, heavy traffic is expected starting in the mid-afternoon along Embarcadero Road, El Camino Real, Sand Hill Road and surrounding streets.
