PASA's Liang completes solid effort with another victory

Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics and Palo Alto High senior Alex Liang completed a successful USA Futures Championship swimming meet Sunday with another individual victory, a relay victory and another top four finish.

In all, Liang took home five individual victories, swam on two winning relay teams and appeared in three other 'A' finals.

Having older brother Andrew, a junior at Stanford, taking home the title in the 100 free made things even better for the Liang household.

Andrew's winning time, 51.21, probably helped Alex go a bit faster, as he finished fourth in 51.55. Liang captured the 200 back in 2:04.39. He helped the 400 medley relay end the meet on a solid note.

Stanford sophomore Benjamin Ho, also of PASA, joined Liang for the medley relay victory and placed second in both the 200 IM and 100 free (51.51). Joe Molinari raced third in the IM.

PASA's Jennifer Campbell, a sophomore at Cal, ended the meet by helping the 400 medley relay team finish first with a 4:17.28. She swam in three 'A' finals over the weekend and on both relays.

Leah Goldman, second in the 100 free with a 56.66, anchored the relay team. She also swam on the free relay. Palo Alto's Grace Zhao added an 'A' final, in the 200 IM, to her accomplishments.
