Former Knight now coaching Warriors at Hendrix College

 

Menlo School grad Liz Daly has been tabbed as the new head coach of the Hendrix College women's lacrosse program, Director of Athletics Amy Weaver announced.

"We are thrilled to announce Coach Elizabeth Daly will be leading our women's lacrosse team into the next chapter of that young program," said Weaver. "She brings to Hendrix a thorough understanding of Division III athletics both as a successful student-athlete as well as an experienced assistant coach. She will be a terrific addition to our coaching staff and we are confident she will work tirelessly to elevate the program to the next level."

Daly spent the 2015 season as an assistant at Kenyon College, her alma mater, in Gambier, Ohio. She helped the Ladies to a 10-4 record and coached two all-region players, the North Coast Athletic Conference Offensive player and four All-NCAC selections.

Prior to her return at Kenyon, Daly was head coach of the University of Chicago's club team, as well as the head junior varsity coach and varsity goalkeeper coach for Whitney Young Lacrosse. She also was a head coach for Lakeshore Lacrosse youth team.

As a player at Kenyon, Daly played in 61 career games as a defender and registered six goals, three assists, 68 ground balls, 46 draw controls and 27 caused turnovers. As a senior, she was an All-NCAC First Team selection and the team MVP.

Daly graduated from Kenyon in 2012 with a degree in International Studies Global Environment and Spanish Area Studies. She is currently pursuing her masters from Drexel University in Philadelphia in Sports Management.
