CITY COUNCIL … The council is on break until Aug. 14.

PLANNING AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION … The commission plans to hold a study session on secondary-dwelling units; and a public hearing to consider a draft ordinance updating the city’s below-market-rate program and adopting new affordable-housing impact fees for new developments. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 250 Hamilton Ave. Read the agenda here.

BOARD OF EDUCATION … The school board will convene for a special budget study session to discuss an unanticipated change in property tax revenue. The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, at the district office, 25 Churchill Ave. Read the agenda here.

HISTORIC RESOURCES BOARD … The board plans to make a recommendation to the council about adoption of Professorville Historic District Design Guidelines. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 250 Hamilton Ave.
