Pimental's four hits spark Menlo Park Legends to 14-4 victory


Catcher Miguel Pimental, hitting out of the No. 9 spot in the batting order, went 4 of 4 with three RBIs to lead the Menlo Park Legends to a 14-4 win Thursday over the Walnut Creek Crawdads at Canada College.

Pimental homered and hit three singles to pace a 14-hit attack. Leadoff batter Justin Jacobs had three hits. Catcher Chandler Bengtson also homered.

On Wednesday, the Pacific Union Financial Capitalists beat the Crawdads 9-0 as five pitchers combined on a three-hit shutout. Austin Todd had three hits, including a homer and a double, and drove in four runs. Javier hit his seventh home run.

On Tuesday the Caps beat the Legends 6-0 on another five-pitcher shutout. Stanford recruit David Bakst had two hits and two RBIs.
