Downtown Palo Alto's summer concert series returns in July

Music on the Plaza features weekly live music at King Plaza

Every Thursday evening, starting in July, music will be flowing into the streets from King Plaza in front of Palo Alto City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.) when Music on the Plaza kicks off.

This year, the free downtown summer concert series begins with Bay Area rock 'n' roll cover band Dutch Uncle, on July 7, 6-8 p.m. Bands and artists from a variety of genres will showcase their musical talent through Aug. 7. For more information, visit PaloAltoDowntown.com.

This year's lineup is as follows:

July 7: Dutch Uncle (rock 'n' roll)

July 14: Chris Caine Band (blues)

July 21: Long Train Running (Doobie Brothers tribute band)

July 28: Pride & Joy (Motown dance)

Aug. 7: California Cowboys (country)
