East Palo Alto woman killed in hit-and-run in San Jose

 

A woman killed in a hit-and-run collision early Wednesday morning in San Jose has been identified as 22-year-old Alexandra Lozano of East Palo Alto, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.

Officers responded to a report of a collision at about 12:10 a.m. on Jackson Avenue underneath Interstate Highway 680 and learned a vehicle struck and killed a woman, police said.

Investigators were able to take one person into custody, according to police.

Another driver in a second car struck the woman after the initial impact and fled the scene, police said. No further details were immediately available.
