VIDEOS: State Assembly District 24 candidate interviews

To help voters become familiar with the eight candidates vying to replace Rich Gordon in Sacramento, the Palo Alto Weekly is posting video interviews with each candidate.

The endorsement interviews were conducted by Palo Alto Weekly Publisher Bill Johnson, Weekly Editor Jocelyn Dong, Mountain View Voice Editor Andrea Gemmet and Almanac News Editor Richard Hine.

In each video, the candidates -- Marc Berman, Jay Cabrera, Barry Chang, Mike Kasperzak, John Inks, Peter Ohtaki and Vicki Veenker -- talk about their stance on top state issues, including housing, transportation, education, teacher tenure, police surveillance, arbitration, and private property rights versus common good.

Seven of the eight candidates participated (Seelam Reddy did not attend his scheduled interview, and due to time constraints it could not be rescheduled.)
