Fire crews battling East Palo Alto grass fire

Ten fire trucks and engines are responding to a two-alarm grass fire in East Palo Alto that broke out at around 3:50 p.m. The blaze, at Bayfront Expressway and University Avenue, is at the western end of the Dumbarton Bridge.

University Avenue is shut down at Purdue Avenue, and traffic is being turned around, according to the East Palo Alto Police department. Drivers are being asked to avoid University if possible.

Crews from the Menlo Park Fire Department, joined by other local jurisdictions, have responded.
