Jeremy Lin does it again to help Hornets overcome Nets

A night after scoring 29 points while Charlotte rallied from 23 down to beat the San Antonio Spurs, Palo Alto High grad Jeremy Lin help carry the Hornets again on Tuesday night in NBA action.

Lin scored 21 points off the bench and Nicolas Batum had 23 to help the Hornets beat the host Brooklyn Nets, 105-100. Lin added four assists, two rebounds and a steal while making eight of 12 shots from the floor and four of six free throws.

"Jeremy Lin was huge for us," Batum told The Associated Press. "In the third and fourth, he stepped up again for us. He did it last night in the second quarter to give us life, and he did it again tonight. I don't think we would have won that game if he didn't step up again for us."

Former Stanford standout Brook Lopez had 29 points, nine rebounds and a season-high six assists for the Nets.

The Hornets will return to action Friday at the Detroit Piston.
