Homebrewing for dummies

Want to become your own brewmaster? Expert homebrewers will be at the Mountain View Public Library on Monday, Feb. 29, to help get beer enthusiasts started in brewing their own beers.

Andrew Carroll, of Headquarters homebrew club, Derek Wolfgram, of Silicon Valley Sudzers homebrew club, and Mike Conant, of Silicon Valley Sudzers, will discuss the history of homebrewing, as well as ingredients, techniques, equipment, beer styles and recipe formulation.

The free, 21-and-over workshop starts at 7 p.m. and runs until 8:30 p.m. Those interested are encouraged to register by calling Candace Bowers at 650-903-6877 or email candace.bowers@mountainview.gov. Walk-ins will be accommodated if space allows.

The library is located at 585 Franklin St. For more information, visit mountainview.gov/librarycalender.
