Stanford seniors shine in Pac-12 gymnastics spotlight

No. 12 Stanford produced multiple individual performances of note, but The Cardinal was unable to overcome counting a missed routine on bars, losing to visiting No. 5 Utah, 197.150-195.875, in a Pac-12 Conference women's gymnastics meet Saturday.

The day was, nonetheless, a success as Stanford celebrated its seniors Melissa Chuang, Jenna Frowein, Ivana Hong and Taylor Rice. The quartet was honored before the meet and during a post-meet ceremony.

Stanford's Elizabeth Price debuted a new vault, scoring a 9.925 and earning the individual victory. She also won floor with a 9.925.

Hong punctuated her Senior Day with a winning effort of 9.875 on bars. Chuang placed second on beam with a score of 9.925.
