New York-based band Darshan brings its music to Stanford

New York-based band Darshan will perform its poetic -- and psychedelic -- music at the Hillel at Stanford, Koret Pavilion, at 654 OConnor Lane, on Saturday, Jan. 30, 8:30-10:30 p.m.

Darshan (meaning "myth-maker", "seeker", "deliverer of the drash") is a Jewish musical project that "combines deep engagement with sacred text and tradition and a radical commitment to creative inspiration and cultural innovation," according to its website.

Saturday's performance will feature the melodies of Shir Yaakov Feit, the rap and poetry of Eden Pearlstein (ePRHYME) and cello playing from Noa Hoffeld. Cost is $5.
